ABOUT US

To begin with, spaces will be limited, so please contact us to secure your pups place.

OPENING MAY 2024

Woof and Wander was launched with one simple mission - to be able to provide top quality care to dogs in a exciting, safe and enriching environment.
For the past 5 years Ali has spent her time working with dogs in a daycare setting, along side qualifying from Newquay University with a diploma in Animal Management, and a degree in Animal Health and Welfare.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience under her belt, along with a sympathetic and kind way, you can rest assured that each dog will be treated like our own, and all individual needs will be cared and catered for.
This includes long naps on the sofas (if allowed!) and plenty of long walks and play times in our secure paddock.

PUPPY SOCIALISATION

Having a new puppy can be the most exciting and rewarding time! Here at Woof and Wander we know how important it is that every puppy has the best start in life and this includes having lots of socialising and making friends from  a young age. With penned off areas, tucked away cosy corners, and a dedicated young dogs area, we can cater to puppies from 12 weeks old.

HEALTH CHECKS

A thorough health check of each dog will be performed daily whilst in our care. This will consist of a thorough examination of the dog's entire body, from head to tail, and will look for any lumps, bumps, or anomalies. After each play session, paws, pads and claws will also be checked to see if any injuries have been sustained. This contributes to the happiness and wellness of every dog at Woof and Wander.

GET TO KNOW US

For as long as i can remembered I've been obsessed with all dogs... there is a photo of me somewhere as a young girl, with my rain mac and wellies on, standing outside my Aunts and Uncles house in the pouring rain, playing with their dog!
I grew up in Luton, and then moved to the Isles of Scilly in my teens. It was here I got my first dog, a rescue named Alfie. I remember going to pick him up and being absolutely besotted with him.
I would spend most of my weekends walking friends dogs on the islands, and slowly began looking after them over night. I quickly became known as the crazy dog lady.

After moving back to Cornwall just before the first lockdown of 2020, i decided it was time to go back to school so I could start my animal career. After 3 years at Newquay University I qualified with a diploma and degree in Animal Management and Animal Health and Welfare.

Whilst I was studying I took a job with a local daycare and absolutely fell in love with each and every dog I looked after. Over the last few years I have learnt so much from the hands on aspect of my job.... everything from pack behaviour, relationships and who should get the last spot on the sofa!

If someone had said to me 5 years ago that I would have the most amazing opportunity to open and run my own doggy daycare, I would have thought they were mad... but here we are!

Myself, along with my two golden retrievers, Chester and Quinn, cannot wait to meet all of you, bond and build relationships with you and your dogs, and provide Cornwall with an amazing daycare, where each and every dog will be loved as our own.
